The executive order implements Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on machinery (the Machinery Directive), as amended, and European Commission Decision 2012/32/EU on requirements for member states to prohibit the placing on the market of flail-type cutting attachments for portable hand-held brush cutters.The executive order lays down requirements for retailers who place machines and partly completed machines on the market or make them available on the market.In addition, flail-type cutting attachments for portable hand-held brush cutters is prohibited.The executive order also lays down language requirements and lays down sanctions for breaches of the rules.
