National Standard of the P.R.C., Electric Vehicles Traction Battery Safety Requirements

This standard specifies the safety requirements and test methods for secondary cells, battery packs or systems of traction batteries for electric vehicles (hereinafter referred to as “batteries”). This standard applies to lithium ion batteries, nickel-hydrogen batteries, and other rechargeable energy storage devices for electric vehicles.
