The TPKM will intend to regulate secondary lithium cells and batteries, secondary lithium mobile power bank and battery charger for computer, communication and consumer electronics as commodities subject to mandatory inspection. As of 1 March 2014, all such products must be inspected by the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI)The secondary lithium cells and batteries for computer, communication and consumer electronicsmust conform to the requirements of the CNS 15364 “Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications” when manufactured or imported. Meanwhile, the secondary lithium mobile power bank for computer, communication and consumer electronicsmust conform to the requirements of the CNS 15364 “Secondary cells and batteries containing alkaline or other non-acid electrolytes - Safety requirements for portable sealed secondary cells, and for batteries made from them, for use in portable applications” CNS 14336-1 “Information technologyequipment - Safety - Part 1: General requirements” and CNS 13438 “Information technology equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement” when manufactured or imported Then the battery chargerfor computer, communication and consumer electronicsmust conform to the requirements of the CNS 14336-1 “Information technologyequipment - Safety - Part 1: General requirements” or CNS 14408 “Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus - Safety requirements” and CNS 13438 “Information technology equipment - Radio disturbance characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement”when manufactured or imported.
