The notified text sets out specifications and test methods that promote efficient energy use in LED luminaires intended for the lighting of roads and highways and outdoor public areas. It does not apply to products covered by other Mexican Official Standards on energy efficiency, or to those LED luminaires · whose exclusive light source is screw-base LED bulbs; · that are for decorative or ornamental lighting of outdoor public areas; · that are for signalling; · that are colour changing or monochromatic (green, red, yellow, blue, etc.); that are to be installed in the ground, underwater, in classified or hazardous areas.
