SI 62776: Double-capped LED lamps designed to retrofit linear fluorescent lamps - Safety specifications

The requirements of the existing standard, SI 62776, dealing with the safety specifications of double-capped LED lamps designed to retrofit linear fluorescent lamps, shall be declared mandatory.The standard adopts the international standard IEC 62776 - edition 1.0: 2014-12 and specifies the safety and interchangeability requirements, and the exchange operation together with the test methods and conditions required to show compliance of double-capped LED lamps with G5 and G13 caps, intended for replacing fluorescent lamps with the same caps, having a rated power up to 125 W and a rated voltage up to 250 V. In addition the standard's Hebrew section adds new marking requirements both for the lamp itself and for its instruction manual.This declaration is in line with the mandatory standardization objectives to protect human health and safety.
